Micro-business: Sewing Training Institute
Hearts Without Borders has instituted a sewing micro-business for women.
July, 2008 the Sewing Training Institute facility was constructed.
The facility will serve 20 students.
Twenty sewing machines have been purchased, with materials.
A woman is selected by:
1) integrity
2) motivation
3) business aptitude
4) need.
Upon completing her training, she is awarded the sewing machine and sewing fabric ($100 value). As she begins her industry and sells her sewing items, she will repay the $100 which will then be awarded to another woman to begin her industry.
